Our Tortoise Forage blend was inspired by customer David Sewart. This blend includes a wide variety of grasses palatable and nutritious for tortoises. A combination of warm-season and cool-season grasses, this blend is designed to thrive in most areas of the U.S. where tortoises enjoy basking in the sunlight and grazing on grass. All species in this blend are endophyte-free and safe for tortoises.
This blend produces a pasture that will contain approximately::
- 10% Buffalograss
- 10% Big Bluestem
- 10% Western Wheatgrass
- 10% Tall Fescue (endophyte free)
- 10% Bermudagrass
- 10% Orchardgrass
- 10% Little Bluestem
- 10% Blue Grama
- 10% Sheep Fescue
- 10% Creeping Red Fescue

Note that due to legal restrictions, Bermudagrass cannot be shipped to Utah with the exception of Washington County. Blends shipped to Utah will not contain Bermudagrass.
